Ah, the fun of photographing the beautiful flowers this time of year. I didn't have to go far to find this beauty. The magnolia tree actually belongs to a neighbor and the tree is huge. I understand that the tree grows slowly so I can't even begin to imagine how old it is, but it is as tall as a two story house.
I was able to photograph the flower in various stages since this tree had just started blooming recently.
Everything was just fine until the neighbor appeared at the upstairs window. Yikes!

And like many Spring flowers, I wish they'd last just a little longer ;)
